I am proud to assist local heroes in utilizing the Florida Homet

own Heroes Housing Program. This state-funded program is designed to help essential community workers purchase their first home by providing significantly lower interest rates and down payment assistance.

What is it? Eligible borrowers can receive up to 5% of their total loan amount (up to a maximum of $35,000) to be used for a down payment and closing costs.

  • This comes in the form of a 0% interest, non-amortizing second mortgage.

  • You do not make monthly payments on this assistance; it is only repaid when you sell the home, refinance, or move out.

Who is it for? This program is specifically for full-time employees working for a Florida-based employer in over 100 eligible professions, including:

  • Law Enforcement & Corrections Officers

  • Firefighters, EMTs, & Paramedics

  • Nurses, CNAs, & Health Care Professionals

  • Teachers & Education Staff

  • Active Duty Military & Veterans (Veterans are exempt from the first-time buyer requirement!)
